Venclose™ RF Ablation Catheter
The Venclose™ RF Ablation Catheter is BD's endovenous radiofrequency device for treating superficial vein reflux in patients with chronic venous disease (CVD). BD notes that radiofrequency ablation has been established as a CVD treatment option for more than 20 years, and positions Venclose™ as a way of streamlining that treatment. BD also emphasises that CVD is progressive and that, without treatment, signs and symptoms may worsen — visible venous disease being far more than a cosmetic problem. The distinguishing element BD describes is the dual heating length: BD presents Venclose™ as a dual heating length RF solution delivering additional heating length from a single RF catheter, so that both longer and shorter segments can be treated without exchanging devices during the procedure.
