PowerPort™ Implantable Port
The PowerPort™ Implantable Port is part of the Bard portfolio supplied by BD. It is a totally implantable venous access device intended to provide repeated access to the vascular system for the delivery of medications, fluids, parenteral nutrition and blood products, and for blood sampling. BD identifies the device as power injectable, which allows it to be used for the injection of contrast media during contrast-enhanced imaging in addition to routine infusion therapy. BD summarises the key attributes of the port as being easily identifiable, having a titanium port body, and being power injectable.
