Modern Medical Center Opens in Khankandi

A new medical center has officially opened in Khankandi, expanding access to modern healthcare services in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region as reconstruction of the liberated territories continues.
On June 25, 2026, the official opening ceremony of the Khankandi Medical Center was held in the city of Khankandi, according to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for Khankandi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts. The event was attended by employees of the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the region, members of the medical community, and visitors.
Speaking at the ceremony, officials outlined the reconstruction and development work carried out in the liberated territories and the measures taken to provide the returning population with quality healthcare services. The role of private healthcare investment in the region was also highlighted as an important complement to state-led rebuilding programs.
For medical device suppliers and distributors, the continued build-out of healthcare infrastructure in Karabakh represents a significant development in Azerbaijan's healthcare landscape. New facilities require modern diagnostic, interventional and general hospital equipment, along with ongoing consumables supply and technical support — capacity that the wider Azerbaijani medtech ecosystem is progressively building.
