The CATALYSTEM Primary Hip System is a cementless femoral stem designed to address the evolving requirements of primary hip surgery, such as the increased adoption of anterior approaches and the rise of ambulatory surgery centers. Building on the clinical history of the POLARSTEM Hip System, this platform utilizes proprietary ACCUBROACH Technology to provide surgeons with a consistent, reproducible method for achieving predictable implant seating. By incorporating a reduced distal stem geometry and providing uniform proximal loading, the system is intended to minimize risks associated with distal potting, calcar fractures, and undersizing. Beyond its structural design, the system features advanced bearing science through the integration of OXINIUM Technology. This material is designed to offer the durability of metal, the wear resistance of ceramic, and high corrosion resistance. When utilized in combination with highly cross-linked polyethylene liners, the system is intended to support long-term implant performance. The platform also emphasizes procedural efficiency by consolidating components into a single modular tray, which is tailored to the surgeon’s chosen approach to assist in optimizing shelf space and reducing facility sterilization costs.
